Development education in Luxembourg

We aim to raise awareness of the purposes served by our projects by means of work at schools and educational establishments in Luxembourg, so as to increase interest in the sustainable development of our world and in other cultures and countries. We have also defined this as an element in our organisation’s aims in our Statutes.

In recent years, we have further expanded and systematised this development education work. Together with other organisations, we participate in various events and actions in Luxembourg.

In addition, we have prepared educational materials on children’s rights and have planned workshops on sustainable development and children’s rights, which we regularly hold at Luxembourg schools.

Our newly developed children’s rights kit also provides teachers at primary schools in Luxembourg with a whole set of more than 20 games and activities for the purpose of play-based learning about children’s rights. The children’s rights kit was designed jointly with SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde Luxembourg and can be lent out free of charge.

Our educational work is cofinanced by the Directorate for Cooperation and Humanitarian Emergency Aid of Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
